Group Description

This CAEP task group was created in 2020 to provide technical support in the exploration of the feasibility of a long-term global aspirational goal for international civil aviation CO2 emissions reductions, including options and roadmaps for their realization.

Current work

The main activities of the group are related to data gathering, scenario development, and further analysis of the scenarios. 

The group work considers the following points:

• To the maximum extent possible, the work should utilize existing ICAO work, and external input.
• The work should be transparent and inclusive.
• The work should consider capacity building and assistance to developing States, and technology transfer.
• Consider the protection of proprietary data with appropriate measures.
