ICAO is delighted to convene a workshop on the ICAO Public Key Directory (PKD) in Buenos Aires, Argentina on 28 and 29 April 2026, supported by the Argentinian authorities. This workshop, blending engaging presentations and interactive discussion sessions, will help attendees to understand the benefits of the ICAO PKD programme, assure knowledge and appreciation for organizational structures and processes that can assure that such benefits can be realized and provide support for advanced usage of the ICAO PKD in the context of secure and effective processes for ePassport issuance and authentication.
The workshop will be tailored to the needs of the States of the Americas (North, Central and South America) and focus on how the PKD programme can support efforts aligned with regional priorities and help address regional challenges. Simultaneous interpretation will be provided in Spanish and English throughout.
The workshop will be relevant for existing PKD participants and those who may be considering joining the programme in the coming years. We encourage participation of technical staff who will deal with the use of the ICAO PKD system on a regular basis, alongside decision makers with authority to decide upon and organize a State's participation in the PKD programme.
