ICAO Environmental Tools (E-tools)
ICAO develops and maintains many environmental tools that are made available to States and the general public. These tools support the development of State Action Plans, the implementation of the Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation (CORSIA) and support initiatives to reduce aviation's carbon footprint.

| ICAO Fuel Savings Estimation ToolOperational measures are one of the instruments available to States to improve fuel efficiency and reduce CO2 emissions. The ICAO Fuel Savings Estimation Tool (IFSET) has been developed by the Secretariat with support from States and international organizations to assist the States to estimate fuel savings in a manner consistent with the models approved by CAEP and aligned with the Global Air Navigation Plan. The ICAO Fuel Savings Estimation Tool (IFSET) is not intended to replace the use of detailed measurement or modelling of fuel savings, where those capabilities exist. Environmental Benefits Tool (EBT) | The EBT was created to support States with the development of their State Action Plan. This tool allows a State to easily generate a baseline scenario, estimate the impact of their selected mitigation measures and to generate the expected results. Marginal Abatement Cost (MAC) Curve Tool | This tool was developed to support States with the process of selecting mitigation measures as a part of the State Action Plan development process. It offers the possibility for States to identify and rank up to 20 mitigation measures in order to facilitate decision-making. The tool includes a user-friendly interface and is fully customizable to fit the State's situation. ICAO E-Learning Course on State Action Plans | The ICAO E-Learning Course on State Action Plans aims to build an understanding of the importance of States' Action Plans to address CO2 emissions from the international aviation sector. The course has been developed by the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) in collaboration with ICAO. Access to the tool is available here.

Eco-Airport Toolkit E-Collection | The objective of the Eco-Airport Toolkit e-collection is to provide practical and ready-to-use information to support the development of airport infrastructure projects. The themes of the publications are chosen based on immediate operational needs of ICAO Member States. Each publication focuses on a specific aspect of environmental planning at airports. ICAO CORSIA CO2 Estimation and Reporting Tool (CERT) | The ICAO CORSIA CERT is one of the five ICAO CORSIA Implementation Elements and is reflected in the ICAO document entitled "ICAO CORSIA CO2 Estimation and Reporting Tool", referenced in Annex 16, Volume IV. The ICAO CORSIA CERT supports aeroplane operators in fulfilling their monitoring and reporting requirements in CORSIA by populating the standardized Emissions Monitoring Plan and Emissions Report templates.
