CAPACITY BUILDING FOR CO₂ MITIGATION FROM INTERNATIONAL AVIATION

The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and European Union (EU) assistance project Capacity building for CO₂ mitigation from international aviation, aimed at providing assistance to a selected group of 14 States in Africa and the Caribbean to support their efforts on three objectives: 

• Objective 1: developing and implementing their States’ Action Plans on CO₂ emissions reduction from international aviation,
• Objective 2: to establish aviation environmental systems for emissions monitoring at the State level, and
• Objective 3: to identify, evaluate and implement mitigation measures.

Outcomes of the ICAO-EU Project
