Saudi Arabia announces funding for ICAO to ensure “No Country Left Behind”
Saudi Arabia will provide USD 1 million to support the No Country Left Behind goal in ICAO’s Long-Term Strategic Plan.
His Excellency Saleh Al-Jasser, Minister of Transport and Chairman of the General Authority of Civil Aviation of Saudi Arabia, formally presented the commitment to ICAO Secretary General Juan Carlos Salazar in the margins of the recent 42nd Session of the ICAO Assembly, held from 23 September to 3 October 2025.
This funding will support needs-based projects that strengthen States’ capacity to implement ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices, helping ensure that all countries can participate in, and benefit from, safe, secure, and sustainable air transport.
