ICAO-IATA-IETA Side Event at the UNFCCC June Climate Meetings: The Next Chapter: ICAO’s Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation (CORSIA)
The session provides an overview of the implementation status of CORSIA, highlight the key decisions arising from the 42nd ICAO Assembly, examine CORSIA’s interlinkages with Article 6 of the Paris Agreement and share experiences from States, industry, and carbon market participants on CORSIA units’ eligibility processes and the authorization of carbon units for their use in CORSIA.
