The fourth edition of the Environmental Technical Manual (Doc 9501), Volume IV — Procedures for demonstrating compliance with the Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation (CORSIA) includes material that was approved by the ICAO Committee on Aviation Environmental Protection (CAEP) at its thirteenth meeting (CAEP/13) in February 2025. The fourth edition of this document contains guidance for the implementation of the Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs) contained in the applicable edition of Annex 16, Volume IV.

This manual is to be periodically revised under the supervision of the CAEP Steering Group and is intended to make the most recent information available to administrating authorities, aeroplane operators, verification bodies and other interested parties in a timely manner, aiming at achieving the highest degree of harmonisation possible.
