History

ICAO is funded and directed by 193 national governments to support their diplomacy and cooperation in air transport as signatory states to the Chicago Convention(1944).The Asia & Pacific Regional Sub-Office (APAC RSO) was inaugurated on 27 June 2013 and is hosted in Beijing by the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC). For more information , please visit: RSO History (icao.int)

Role of RSO

RSO complements the APAC Regional Office in Bangkok and provides service to 39 APAC States, but slightly different in roles. For more information , please visit: Role of RSO

Main Responsibilities

RSO is focusing on ATM implementation in the APAC Region and in line with APAC Seamless ANS plan approved by APANPIRG. This includes Air Traffic Flow Management (ATFM), Civil Military Cooperation (CMC), Performance Based Navigation (PBN) and ATS route structure. RSO outreach to various APAC States has included seminars, workshops , technical assistance online and on-site ,webinars etc.
