Air cargo services connect economies, sustain supply chains and link even the most remote communities to global markets. Every day, aircraft carry high-value goods, including medicines, perishables and e-commerce shipments, across borders, often making the difference between a business reaching its customers or not and, as witnessed during the COVID-19 pandemic, even between life and death.
The new ICAO Air Cargo Profiles offer a concise, data-driven overview of air cargo activity in each Member State. Drawing on official statistics reported by States to ICAO through the Air Transport Reporting Forms (ATRs), each profile brings together, on a single page:
The profiles are designed to support policymakers, regulators, industry stakeholders and researchers in understanding the contribution of air cargo services to each State's economy and connectivity, and in identifying opportunities for its sustainable development.
The profiles reflect the statistical information reported by Member States to ICAO up to 2025 and will be updated as new or revised data become available.
The availability of individual State profiles depends on the completeness of the required statistical information submitted to ICAO. Member States whose profiles are currently unavailable may have outstanding reporting requirements unfulfilled, particularly concerning ATR Form B (Origin and Destination) and ATR Form C (Traffic by Flight Stage). States are encouraged to complete or update their statistical submissions to be compliant and may contact ICAO for guidance and assistance with the reporting process and the preparation of their profiles.
ICAO extends its sincere appreciation to all Member States for their continued cooperation and commitment to providing comprehensive and high-quality air transport statistics.
