Safety Management Implementation

Welcome to the Safety Management Implementation Website.

This website complements the 4th edition of the ICAO Safety Management Manual (Doc 9859), the Safety Intelligence Manual (Doc 10159) and the Handbook for CAAs in Managing Aviation Risks Related to COVID-19 (Doc 10144), and provides examples, tools and supporting educational material to address the diverse needs of the aviation community. The structure of the website is based on the structure of each Document with practical examples linked to relevant Sections of the Chapter.

If you click on the down arrows in the left-hand navigation you will find e-book versions of each document and links to each Chapter that open on the main screen. from there clicking on the "+" expands to show the practical examples for each Section.

The usefulness of these examples to States and service providers depends on a wide range of factors. As such, this website is for informational purposes only. ICAO has established a process for the collection and validation of additional examples for sharing with the aviation community.
