The DRONE ENABLE Symposia, the UAS Advisory Group and Task Force on UAS for Humanitarian Aid and Development (TF-UHAD) activities resulted in the preparation of the third edition of the Unmanned Aircraft Systems Traffic Management (UTM) – A Common Framework with Core Principles for Global Harmonization, UAS Model regulations with accompanying advisory circulars and Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) for Humanitarian Aid and Emergency Response Guidance (U-AID). An online course, Unmanned Aviation Fundamentals, has been added to the Global Aviation Training catalogue.
With regards to remotely piloted aircraft systems (RPAS), the regulatory framework that will support RPA operating internationally in accordance with instrument flight rules (IFR), as a routine part of the air traffic management system, progressed through the RPAS Panel and multiple other expert groups. New provisions addressing airworthiness and command and control (C2) Link for RPAS have been adopted.
