The joint ICAO/EASA Third Global RSOO and RAIO Forum for Aviation Safety will allow representatives of RSOOs/RAIOs, Member States, international organizations, industry and ICAO to have substantive conversations on regional cooperation in aviation safety and accident and incident investigations, and how it contributes to improving Member States’ safety oversight/investigative capabilities, ultimately enhancing global aviation safety.
The Forum will serve as a high-level platform to exchange experiences, discuss emerging challenges, and identify strategic priorities, reaffirming the essential role of regional cooperation in strengthening safety oversight and accident investigation. Discussions will include the contributions of regional mechanisms in supporting States’ oversight and accident investigation obligations and the resources required to ensure their continued sustainability. The Forum will also focus on enhancing collaboration among RSOOs and RAIOs, States, and industry stakeholders, and on identifying practical measures to secure the long-term viability of safety oversight and accident and incident investigation systems.
