Production Facilities

This tracker provides information on facilities (existing and announced) that could produce Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF).

The capacity numbers refer to the total planned capacity of the facilities (including ground transportation fuels and other hydrocarbons), when included on the announcement. There is significant uncertainty on the share of this capacity that will be directed to SAF/LCAF, as well as on the success rate of the announced plans. 

Some announcements provide specific SAF capacity numbers; these are summarized in the "capacities" tab on the dashboard. 

Information is based on publically-available announcements and certificates from ICAO-approved Sustainability Certification Schemes. Facilities announced more than 4 years ago with no recent updates are marked as "dormant" projects.
