The French Engagement for Green Growth (ECV) on sustainable aviation fuels
ObjectiveThe aim of this public-private partnership is to carry out a feasibility study on the development of a sustainable aviation fuel supply chain in France. DescriptionThe ECV is a public-private partnership signed in December 2017 by the Government of France (the ministry of environment, the ministry of transport and the ministry of economy and finance) Air France, Airbus, Safran, Suez, and Total. The partnership has been inspired by “green deals”. These French stakeholders will work together on a feasibility study investigating a sustainable aviation fuel supply chain development in France. The ECV promote the development and implementation of a sustainable aviation fuel industry in France. The study will investigate the economic viability of such a supply chain and potential options for establishing a sustainable supply of biomass. A particular focus will be made on the collection and use of waste cooking oils, integrating the principles of circular economy.
