Aliança Brasileira para Biocombustíveis de Aviação (ABRABA)
ObjectiveThe goal of ABRABA was to promote public and private initiatives that streamline the development, certification, and commercial production of sustainable biofuels for aviation. DescriptionABRABA was created as a forum to discuss the various aspects of developing sustainable fuels for the aviation industry, driven by the growing demand to meet the requirements for reducing greenhouse gas emissions in aviation as well as to provide support for Brazil's energy security. The goal was to develop alternative fuels with equivalent levels of quality, safety of use, cost, and adequate production capacity compared to fossil fuels. The project initiators worked to develop partnerships with public policy makers and the fuel production industry.
