Electronic Personnel Licence Automated Query
The inspector may interrogate a Licensing Authority database to verify that the EPL data presented by an EPL holder are valid and authentic. The query will be triggered via a scan of QR code available on the licence holder's EPL.
Scanning an EPL QR code enables a self-contained mobile electronic visual display device to interrogate a Licensing Authority database with the EPL information contained in the QR code (Issuing Authority, licence number) via the ICAO server.
The response from the Licensing Authority is then displayed on the inspector's device.
The automated query was launched on 22nd March 2023.
