Languages, Publications and Conference Management (LPC) is responsible for the efficient and timely provision of languages and publication services in the six official languages of the UN/ICAO (Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish) in accordance with the requisite quality standards, and for the provision of conference and event management services in conformity with ISO Standards: ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, ISO 20109:2016, ISO 2603:2016, ISO 22259:2019, ISO/PAS 24019:2020, and ISO 20108:2017.

LPC's main activities include:

• interpretation and translation for the Council, its deliberative bodies and the Air Navigation Commission, and for other ICAO meetings held within and away from headquarters;
• editing including graphic design and typesetting of publications circulated to Member States;
• document management;
• referencing, terminology research, and outsourcing;
• text processing and proofreading;
• providing professional coordination services for conferences and events;
• offering registration, audio-visual, and technical support for the Council, its deliberative bodies and the Air Navigation Commission, and for other ICAO and external meetings held within ICAO headquarters;
• managing the ICAO Conference Centre and its resources.

LPC carries out its activities under a comprehensive Multilingualism Strategy, approved by the 41st Session of the ICAO Assembly in October 2022. This Strategy aims to support ICAO’s work by facilitating seamless international dialogue and effective communication on civil aviation matters, underpinning the Organization’s efforts to mobilize and promote partnerships among Member States and aviation stakeholders.
