At the MEVA/TMG/33 meeting, held in May 2018, it was decided to create a MEVA Ad-Hoc working group for the management of the frequencies in the Region. The CAR Region Spectrum Monitoring Ad-Hoc Group, approved by the ANI/WG/4 meeting in August 2018, was created in order to establish continuous evaluation of the radio electric spectrum for aviation in the Region. Following the Conclusion GREPECAS/20/05 "Creation of an Ad-Hoc Group for the Development of a Regional Project for the Management of Aeronautical Frequencies", which was reinforced by the ICAO Assembly Resolution A41-7: “Support of the ICAO policy on radio frequency spectrum matters”; the first meeting of the Ad hoc Group was help at the ICAO NACC Regional Office (RO), from January 30th to February 3rd 2023. After approval of the new structure of the NACC/WG in June 2023, the FRE Ad hoc Group was designated Aeronautical Frequency Management Task Force (FREQ/TF).
