ICAO will host the ICAO Green Airports Seminar 2026 as a two‑day in‑person event on 29–30 October 2026 in Cairo, Egypt.
The Seminar will serve as a platform to advance green and climate‑resilient airports as key enablers of international aviation’s environmental objectives. Bringing together States, airport operators, airlines, air navigation service providers and other stakeholders, the event will focus on translating the outcomes of the 42nd Session of the ICAO Assembly into practical and implementation‑focused action.
About the Seminar
The 2026 edition reflects the growing role of airports in supporting aviation decarbonization and strengthening resilience across the aviation system.
The first day will explore the ICAO policy framework and the practical measures that airports and operational stakeholders can implement to reduce emissions, manage noise and improve overall environmental performance, including cleaner energy readiness and enabling infrastructure.
The second day will focus on climate adaptation and resilience, with a focus on strengthening critical infrastructure and ensuring continuity of operations, alongside practical approaches to implementation at scale, including financing and partnerships.

The Seminar will bring together a broad range of stakeholders from across the aviation sector and related industries, including government authorities, airport operators, airlines, air navigation service providers, financial institutions, academia and international organizations. It will provide a platform to exchange experiences, showcase solutions and strengthen collaboration on sustainable and resilient airport development worldwide.
