Technical Cooperation and Assistance Projects (TCB)

 

During 2014, there were eight national and five regional operationally active technical cooperation projects related to the economic development of air transport.

 

Africa-Indian Ocean (AFI) Region

 

  • Assistance in the collection of en-route air navigation charges in one State.

 

Asia and Pacific (APAC) Region

 

  • Preparation of a request for qualification, a request for proposal and review and amendment of a concession agreement for a public-private-partnership (PPP) for the upgrade of an air traffic management (ATM) system in one State;
  • Development of an air traffic forecast for one State; and
  • Delivery of training to 20 national staff of 13 States in civil aviation management and aviation policy for executives under the Developing Countries Training Programme of one State.

 

Caribbean and South American (CAR/SAM) Region

 

  • Assessment and review of airport charges to be levied at two international airports in one State;
  • Preparation of proposals for the implementation of a cost structure for airport services for one State;
  • Development of an air transport quality assurance system for one State;
  • Continued assistance to one State with the provision of expertise in air transport economics; and
  • Assistance in the revision of documentation related to private aircraft and their permits to overfly and land in airports of one State.

 

Europe and Middle East (EUR/MID) Region

 

  • Assistance in the establishment of overflight charges for one State;
  • Assistance to one State in developing the structure of the Air Transport Directorate and its functions;
  • Review and amendment of the ground handling regulations for one State; and
  • Provision of legal expertise to one State on several international legal instruments and matters relating to the civil aviation sector.

 

 

Technical assistance projects and activities
 

 

During 2014, there were no national or regional operationally active technical assistance projects related to the economic development of air transport.
