The hyperlink at the bottom of this page provides access to Draft Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs) for the global navigation satellite system (GNSS) satellite-based augmentation system (SBAS) Authentication Service, developed and accepted by Navigation Systems Panel (NSP) as the “baseline” to finalize the technical validation of the SARPs.
The draft SBAS Authentication SARPs are currently undergoing validation by the NSP. They will not be recommended by the panel for inclusion in Annex 10 until after the successful completion of the validation. Until then, the material will be treated as internal panel material and maintained under configuration control by the panel.
At the completion of the validation process, the draft material will be reviewed and any changes deemed necessary in light of the results of the validation will be made. A formal SARPs amendment package will then be prepared, and its approval for implementation in Annex 10 will be recommended by the panel, with a view to achieving a SARPs applicability date in 2029 (subject to review by the Air Navigation Commission, consultation with States and adoption by Council).
