Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) and Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS) have become powerful tools for innovation, economic growth, and humanitarian impact. Yet across the world, many States still lack a clear understanding of existing regulatory frameworks to safely integrate these operations into their airspace. The absence of harmonized processes for regulatory approvals has real consequences.
Recognizing this global need, ICAO launched a series of dedicated initiatives to help States build the foundations for safe, efficient, and globally harmonized UAS/RPAS operations.
