Second AFI Security Symposium

Objectives:
To provide an overview on ICAO Assembly Resolution A39-38 on aviation security, various ICAO security and facilitation initiatives for Africa, emerging security threats, share success stories and challenges, capacity building and agree on relevant strategies to further enhance security in the region. Capacity building - to present the progress report on the establishment and implementation of the Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF) for Africa and discuss next steps.
Participants:
Directors General of Civil Aviation and aviation security representatives of AFI Region Member States; and Representatives from partner States, international and regional organizations, and industry.
