The immediate purpose of the Course is to provide the opportunity of studying at first hand the aims, activities and achievements of ICAO, the nature and organization of the representative bodies and the Secretariat of ICAO, and the commitments and obligations which are imposed upon the Governments of Members States.

 

The whole aim of the programme is to spread information on the activities of ICAO as widely as possible, to the benefit both of individual Members States and of the Organization as a whole, and to promote interest in its activities, especially on the part of those members of national administrations who deal on behalf of their departments with ICAO affairs, or have a wide range of responsibility covering various aspects of civil aviation.
