ICAO EUR/NAT Environment Task Force, Webinar on CORSIA Eligible Emissions Units - 11 September 2025

On 11 September 2025, the EUR/NAT RO organized a webinar on the CORSIA Eligible Emissions  Units.

The primary objective of the webinar was to highlight  the  importance  of  the Letter of Authorization (LOA), further explain the role of the Technical Advisory Body (TAB)  and  explain to the State how to calculate the  offsetting requirements for the Aeroplane Operators, as it is expected to have offsetting requirements for the emissions generated in 2024.  

A voluntary standardized template for the host country authorization was published in March 2025 on the UNFCCC website, which host countries may use to authorize CORSIA eligible emissions units:  https://unfccc.int/documents/646071

The webinar, held with  the  participation  of  ICAO  HQ,  was attended  by  over  50  participants  from  30 EUR/NAT States.
