The ICAO Council, at its 201st Session in February 2014, approved the establishment of the Voluntary Air Transport Fund (VATF) as recommended by the Sixth Worldwide Air Transport Conference (ATConf/6).
The VATF serves as a mechanism for the collection and use of voluntary contributions from States and other donors to support ICAO’s work in the air transport field in a consistent, transparent, efficient and timely manner. Its main purpose is to support important projects related to the economic development of air transport.
The website was updated, and a number of project proposals have been created and published.
