The President of the ICAO Council is elected for a three-year term by the 36 States elected to the ICAO Council, and may be re-elected for one additional term. Mr. Toshiyuki Onuma is the seventh and current President of the ICAO Council. He was elected on 26 November 2025 for a three-year term beginning 1 January 2026.
