Combined ICAO EUR PBNC TF/12 & EUROCONTROL NSG/39 - 01 to 03 April 2025

The combined 12th ICAO EUR PBN Consolidation Task Force and 39th EUROCONTROL Navigation Steering Group Meeting (PBNC-TF/12 & NSG/39) met in Paris from 01 to 03 April 2025.  The hybrid meeting brought together around 170 participants, including 80 in person and 90 online.

The meeting reviewed updates on global and regional PBN developments, including outcomes from relevant ICAO Panels and the True North Advisory Group. States and Air Navigation Service Providers (ANSPs) provided national progress reports, highlighting challenges and operational experiences.

The ICAO EUR/NAT Secretariat presented relevant outcomes from the Sixth Meeting of the European Aviation System Planning Group (EASPG/6), including recommendations related to PBN EUR guidance material and regional GNSS interference reporting and analysis. EUROCONTROL shared the latest information on GNSS interference and mitigation measures underway in the EUR region.

Participants reviewed options for the future precision approach feasibility and provided input on which systems should be prioritized for future development.

The meeting also discussed the future status of the Landing and Take-Off / GBAS Implementation Support Group (LATO/GBAS ISG), with a final decision to follow at the next meeting.

The next meeting of the PBNC TF and NSG will take place from 29 September to 01 October 2025 at EUROCONTROL Headquarters in Brussels.
