EASPG FMG/30 and RAFT/26, Paris, France - 16 to 18 October 2024

The 30th Meeting of the EASPG Frequency Management Group (FMG/30) combined with the Twenty-Sixth Meeting of the Network Manager Radio Frequency Function (RAFT/26) was held in a hybrid format in the premises of the ICAO EUR/NAT Office in Paris from 16 to 18 October 2024.

The evolution and challenges related to aviation frequency management were discussed, namely the use of the C2 link in the 5030 – 5091 MHz Frequency Band and the  EFVS (Enhanced Flight Vision System) Systems based on Radar technology in parts of the in 31.8 and 33.4 GHz Band.

The need for an increased aviation representation in the context of spectrum management was highlighted as a major concern.

An update of the forthcoming upgrade to the SAFIRE (Spectrum and Frequency Information Resourced) web-based application, developed by EUROCONTROL, was provided.

The Meeting was attended by 102 Participants from 41 States, 4 International Organisations and 2 Industries.

The next FMG CM/RAFT meeting will take place from 13 to 15 May 2025 in the EUROCONTROL premises in Brussels, Belgium.
