In alignment with ICAO’s Strategic Plan 2026–2050, this workshop will focus on the strategic importance of developing a competent, diverse, and future-ready aviation workforce. Attracting new talent to aviation is recognized as a key enabler for achieving ICAO’s Strategic Goals, ensuring that the sector will have the best possible talent to support a safe, resilient, sustainable and inclusive future for civil aviation. 

The workshop will provide a platform for States, industry, training organizations, and academia to exchange views and share best practices on workforce planning, skills development, and training innovation and digitalization. Discussions will focus on strengthening partnerships between training providers and industry to ensure curricula reflect operational realities, leveraging digitalisation and artificial intelligence in aviation training, promoting outreach initiatives to attract youth and women into aviation careers, and preparing the workforce for emerging operational models, such as Advanced Air Mobility.
