In alignment with ICAO’s Strategic Plan 2026–2050, and its vision for a safe, secure and sustainable international civil aviation system, this workshop will focus on the strategic importance of developing a competent, diverse, and future-ready aviation workforce. Achieving ICAO’s aspirational goal of zero fatalities in civil aviation from accidents and acts of unlawful interference depends not only on regulatory frameworks and technology, but also on the availability of appropriately skilled professionals across all aviation domains. Attracting new talent to aviation is recognized as a key enabler for achieving ICAO’s Strategic Goals, ensuring that the sector will have the best possible talent to support a safe, resilient, sustainable and inclusive future for civil aviation.
