Measuring the Effectiveness of AVSEC Training
In conjunction with the ICAO AVSEC Panel's Working Group on Training, ICAO has produced a Summary Document on Measuring the Effectiveness of Aviation Security Training.
The Summary Document contains best practices, guidance and tips for the delivery of aviation security training and the subsequent determination of its effectiveness. It includes tools and performance indicators to help support training programmes and their quality assurance, including detailed guidance on the Kirkpatrick Model that covers four levels of training evaluation and return on investment information.
The Summary Document highlights the importance of effective aviation security training to support a well-functioning and secure aviation network and the need to optimize training to give participants the lasting knowledge, abilities, skills and competencies that they need to do their job and to keep motivated.
