The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and the Airports Council International Africa (ACI-Africa) are pleased to invite you to the Regional Security Conference and Exhibition to be held from 8 to 10 April 2014 in Dakar, the vibrant capital of Senegal.
This Conference will kindly be hosted by Agence des Aéroports du Sénégal (ADS) and will be held in the King Fahd Palace Hotel.
The theme for this year’s event is “Smart Security: Meeting the Threat”. During the three-day conference you will hear from high-level industry experts from airports and key regional and international civil aviation authorities and trade organizations.
Some of the topics that will be discussed during the event include:
- Enhancing the air transport security
- New security regulations
- New threats to air transport security
- How technology can improve security
- Human factors in security management
- Security culture

The Conference will be preceded by the ACI Africa Board of Directors and Working Groups meetings, from 6-7 April 2014 and will be followed by an ACI Developing Nations Airport Assistance (DNA) Seminar from 11-13 April 2014.
