The Aviation Safety and Aircraft Accident and Incident Investigation Symposium will be held in conjunction with the Fourth Regional Accident and Incident Investigation Organizations (RAIO) Cooperative Platform Annual Meeting and Workshop in Abu Dhabi, UAE from 19 to 21 November 2024.
Participants will share information about activities implemented by each aircraft accident and incident investigation (AIG) regional organization and share their plans and priorities for the coming year, and explore the possible integration of efforts from a regional and inter-regional cooperation perspective. Participants will work together focusing their discussions on the priority activities and areas of cooperation to enhance accident and incident investigation at regional and global level with the participation of world-class AIG experts.
Objectives of the Symposium:
create partnerships to support RAIOs and ICMs, focusing on the industry
strengthen the States' commitment to RAIOs and ICMs
foster the regional and interregional cooperation on AIG matters
collect feedback from RAIOs and ICMs in connection with the on-going AIG Panel work on the update of the Doc 9946 Manual on Regional Accident and Incident Investigation Organization (RAIO)
promote the participation of the RAIOs and ICMs in the RRAP (formerly GASOS) programme
