Agenda Item 1: - Follow up actions on the Decisions and Recommendations and the Status of Implementation of the Work Programme of the AFI Plan since 22nd Steering Committee Meeting.

• The discussion paper presents the progress made so far by the Secretariat in implementing the 2019 and 2020 work Programmes of the Plan as well as the Decisions and Recommendations of the 22nd and the Extra Ordinary Meetings of the AFI Plan SC.

• Agenda Item 3.1: - Review and Update of the AFI Plan Programme Document

Following the 2015 Evaluation of the AFI Plan by the Evaluation and Audit Office (EAO) and the subsequent extension of the AFI Plan programme beyond 2016, the AFI Plan Document was revised and updated to serve in guiding the implementation of the programme until 2020.

This paper assess the progress made so far in the implementation of AFI Plan Programme activities and present an updated Programme Document for the continuation of the programme in order to bring the AFI Plan Document up-to-date and maintain its relevance in line with the current and future needs in the region.

• The current Chairperson of the Steering Committee was elected during its Extraordinary meeting held in Montreal, Canada, in October 2019. Following his appointment as Director-General of Civil Aviation in his home country, the meeting will elect a new Chairperson of the AFI Plan Steering Committee.
