On 22 May 2026, the ICAO EUR/NAT Office in Paris welcomed a group of students from the MBA in Air Transport Management (MATBA) programme, from Greece (Home - MBA in Air Transport Management) for an educational visit.

The visit provided a valuable opportunity for participants to engage directly with ICAO experts and gain deeper insights into the Organization’s role, mandate, and activities within the European and North Atlantic (EUR/NAT) regions. Through a series of discussions and presentations, students explored a range of key aviation topics, including international regulatory frameworks on environment, safety and security, regional cooperation mechanisms, and current challenges and priorities in civil aviation.
This exchange highlighted the importance of fostering dialogue between academia and international organizations. By interacting with professionals working at the forefront of aviation policy and coordination, students were able to connect theoretical knowledge with practical applications, enhancing their understanding of how ICAO contributes to the safe, secure, and sustainable development of global air transport.
ICAO greatly values such initiatives, which support capacity building and help prepare the next generation of aviation leaders. Visits of this kind also provide an opportunity to raise awareness of ICAO’s work and reinforce the importance of international collaboration in addressing the evolving needs of the aviation sector.
The EUR/NAT Office extends its appreciation to the MATBA programme and its participants for their interest and engagement, and looks forward to continuing similar exchanges in the future.
