Overview

This workshop is a technology exchange platform where specialists or experts will be invited to present the advanced relevant experiences about the quality assurance (QA) system for flight procedure.


Objectives

To set up a technical exchange platform for civil aviation practitioners in APAC States to deeply understand ICAO SARPs(standard and recommended practices) and operational experience of the 16 steps of Quality Assurance.


Scope

The QA workshop focuses on:

  • Introduction of updated technologies or operational experiences
  • QA management system related to IFP process
  • 16 steps related to QA process. Typical cases about critical steps in QA (concept design, Ground validation, flight validation and etc.). The topic varies from year to year and speakers are invited as needed.
     

Participants concerned

Regulators, air navigation service providers, flight procedure designers, Air Traffic Controllers, Pilots, ATS/CNS/AIM departments and other relevant personnel.

 

Prerequisites

Attendees should feel comfortable to communicate in English.

 

Tuition fees

All for free.

 

Background and Content

In October 2020, the first QA Online workshop was held. During the meeting, guest speakers from Hong Kong (China), France, Australia, the USA and China mainland introduced the experience about ground validation system and IFP design process. Please find more details of workshop from below link.

Quality Assurance Online Workshop No.1


In May 2021, the FPP QA Online Workshop NO.2 was held. The meeting focused on the airport capacity and safety evaluation related to IFP design. Please find more details of workshop from below link.

In July 2022, the QA Online Workshop NO.3 was held. The meeting focused on the whole process for IFP design and flight validation. Flight validation as a critical step in QA and is closely related to IFP Design. Please find more details of workshop from below link.

The plan for 2023 QA workshop is about the GBAS/SBAS design concept/cases and IFP quality assessment process, the final decision will be made by FPP SCM in the end of 2022.

2~3 days.
