The Strategic Goal of “Every Flight is Safe and Secure”, found in the ICAO Strategic Plan for 2026-2050, aims to achieve zero fatalities resulting from aviation accidents or incidents. The Global Aviation Safety Plan (GASP) serves as the detailed Global Plan that mainly contributes to the achievement of this Strategic Goal, in conjunction with the Global Aviation Security Plan (GASeP) and other Global Plans. The vision of the GASP is “zero fatalities in commercial operations by 2030 and beyond”. This vision is supported by a series of goals and targets aimed at improving aviation safety. The ICAO Annual Safety Report provides an overview of safety performance, including accident data analysis, safety trends and key safety indicators, such as those found in the GASP.
