Aviation Security Training Coordination
The worldwide network of Aviation Security Training Centres (ASTCs) grew to 31 members during 2016, with the addition of training centres in Dublin, Ireland, and Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. As part of the ASTC activities, 41 ICAO-sponsored courses and workshops were conducted through the ASTC Network, with 512 aviation security specialists from a total of 133 Member States having benefitted from the training.
The Air Transport Bureau continues to work collaboratively with the Global Aviation Training (GAT) Office in updating the ASTPs following the initial review in 2015-2016.
