Assembly and Council Secretariat

The main function of the Assembly and Council Secretariat is to provide secretariat services for the governing bodies of ICAO.
 
    Major activities include:
  • Providing secretariat support services to meetings of the Assembly and meetings of the Council;
  • Coordinate the preparation of pre-session, in-session and post-session documentation of the sessions of the governing bodies including decisions of Council (C-DECs), minutes (C-MINs), orders of business (O-Bs), verbatim transcripts, and reports;
  • Coordinate the election process at the Assembly for the election of Member States to the Council as well as the election process for the election of the President of the Council and Commissioners to the Air Navigation Commission;
  • Provision of précis-writing services for special ad-hoc events including diplomatic conferences.
