Conference, Security, and Administrative Services

 

In 2017, Conference Services serviced 2 136 meetings (530 in the Conference Centre and 1 606 in the Office Tower), which represents an increase of 47 per cent compared to 2016. Registration services were provided to  7 611 participants to 112 events.

 

In coordination with Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC), major renovations and construction projects were completed in the office tower in 2017 to improve space for Delegations and Secretariat staff, and major maintenance and repairs were completed. The major projects included:

 

​•​continued work on the Functional and Technical Program (FTP) to utilize the donation by the Government of Canada for redevelopment of space within the office tower; and
​•​approval of new office space standards for the ICAO Headquarters building to be better aligned with those of other UN Organizations.
