United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development
Sustainable transport and aviation are essential to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. ICAO undertook a thorough analysis of the synergies between its 2017-2019 Business Plan and the SDGs, and documented how its work supports 15 out of the 17 SDGs. This mapping is now available on ICAO public website. Thanks to its wealth of aviation transport data, ICAO is the custodian agency of SDG indicator 9.1.2 on passengers and freight volumes, by mode of transport.
