This workshop will provide an overview of current ICAO initiatives and material related to Assistance to Aircraft Accident Victims and their Familieis. Annex 9 implementation experience will be discussed from the perspectives of implementing States, oversight authorities, aircraft and airport operators. Delving into the specifics of the training programmes, panelists will discuss the need for practical training and exercises. Through sharing of case studies and expertise, areas of potential improvement may be identified while proposals for possible adjustment of international standards may be put forward.
