The Fourth Meeting of the ICAO EUR System Wide Information Management Project Team (SWIM PT/4) was held virtually on 15 December 2020. The meeting was attended by 41 participants from 17 States, 2 Internation Organizations and 2 Industries. The team reviewed a progress report of various tasks of the group such as EUR Regional SWIM Roadmap, SWIM Services and Registration, SWIM Enablers, State Implementation Support and Communication. With this information, the meeting identified the necessary steps forward in the context of resource availability and delay in the publication of global guidance (SWIM Manual Volumes I and II and PANS IM Manual).
The meeting agreed to develop an initial SWIM roadmap for the ICAO EUR Region. The meeting also agreed that the elements selected to support SWIM implementation would be tracked in due time considering existing mechanisms. The meeting also agreed to consider developing guidance material (e.g. familiarization kit) if there was a need for such material by States. These tasks will be progressed in the coming months before the next plenary SWIM meeting.
