The meeting of the North Atlantic Implementation Management Group (NAT IMG/61) was hosted by Canada and held in Ottawa from 1 to 4 November 2022.
The NAT IMG discussed a number of important issues related to NAT operations enhancements planning and implementation. The NAT ANS provider States discussed various ongoing and planned implementation programmes in the North Atlantic (NAT) Region including issues pertaining to commercial space operations and launches in the NAT; the development of a guidance material to support States in such activities; operation of new generation super-sonic aircraft; as well as removal of oceanic clearances.
These actions will contribute to further enhancement of safety, operational efficiency and environmental sustainability in the NAT Region.
Representatives from Canada, Denmark, Iceland, Ireland, Norway, Portugal, United Kingdom and United States as well as International Air Transport Association (IATA) participated at this event.
