The forty-third meeting of the North Atlantic Economic, Financial And Forecast Group (NAT EFFG/43) was held at the ICAO EUR/NAT Office in Paris, France, on 9 and 10 November 2022.

The meeting was updated on the approval process of the new Joint Financing Arrangement of the NAT Height Monitoring System using ADS-B, developed by the NAT EFFG during the previous months.
The Group discussed and agreed to transition from the ad-hoc forecasting methodology, used during the COVID-19 crisis, to the standard methodology using the 2022 peak week (15-21 July) traffic data for the traffic forecast period 2023-2027.
The US FAA presented a proposal for new source of historical NAT traffic data that could potentially be used as a replacement for the data sources currently used in the NAT traffic forecasts. The participants agreed to support the evaluation of this data source as a pilot project for potential use in the future forecasting methodology. A total of 10 participants from 5 States and 1 International Organization participated at this meeting.
The NAT EFFG/44 will take place at the ICAO EUR/NAT Office in Paris, France, from 3 to 4 May 2023.
