ICAO, in cooperation with IAC, conducted a workshop on development and implementation of National Aviation Safety Plans (NASPs). This workshop, organized in the framework of the ICAO-IAC Project, was held in Baku, Azerbaijan from 15 to 17 November 2022. Participants were provided with practical guidance and tools for the development of National Aviation Safety Plans (NASPs), aligned with the ICAO Global Aviation Safety Plan (GASP) adopted by the ICAO 41st Assembly and the ICAO European Regional Action Safety Plan (EUR RASP).
Development and subsequent implementation of NASPs by EUR States is recorded as a safety priority in EUR RASP and is one of key elements of the ICAO EUR regional safety implementation support activities for 2023-2025.
The workshop was attended by 17 participants from 8 States. Mr. Martin Maurino from the ICAO Headquarters provided theoretical and practical guidance that shall enable States to kick-off their journey on NASP development.
