From 27 to 28 February 2023, National Continuous Monitoring Coordinators from across the European and North Atlantic Regions of ICAO gathered at the premises of the ICAO EUR/NAT Regional Office in Paris, France. The meeting was a continuation of the long-standing cooperation between ICAO and EASA aimed at minimizing duplication, ensuring collaboration and maximizing benefits for States.

Experts from ICAO, EASA and States discussed recent news, common challenges and best practices related to the development and implementation of the Continuous Monitoring Approach (CMA) for the ICAO Universal Safety Audit Programme (USOAP) as well as EU/EASA standardization activities. Recent experience and feedback was provided by the following States who experienced USOAP activities in 2022: Albania, Azerbaijan, Italy, Moldova and the United Kingdom. In attendance were 60 participants from 37 States.
