ENAVSECG/10, Paris, France - 1 to 4 November 2022.

The tenth EUR/NAT Aviation Security (AVSEC) Group meeting (ENAVSECG/10) was held in the ICAO EUR/NAT premises in Paris from 1 to 4 November 2022.   Experts from 22 States, 11 international and regional organizations and 2 ICAO Aviation Security Training Centres attended the meeting, which was conducted onsite for the first time since 2019. The meeting also welcomed ICAO colleagues from the Middle East Region in the framework of inter-regional cooperation.

For the last ten years, the purpose of ENAVSECG has been to bring together States, international/regional organizations and other stakeholders from across the EUR/NAT accreditation area, to exchange on AVSEC developments, and to define and agree upon relevant conclusions which would be moved forward and shared with ICAO Headquarters to support the global work of the organization.


This year's anniversary meeting focused on three main areas: Technology and Techniques, Human factors and Capacity Building. The main objective was to enhance understanding and integration of new developments to protect civil aviation from acts of unlawful interference. The Secretariat provided an update on key global developments, including AVSEC Panel/33, Cybersecurity Panel/1, amendment 18 to Annex 17 and outcomes of the 41st session of the ICAO Assembly. .


ENAVSECG/10 elected a new chair team, with Mr. Alexis Courbière (France) as Chair and Ms. Dace Reichmane (Latvia) and Mr. Darkhan Yespotanov (Kazakhstan) as Vice-Chairs.
