The EASPG Regional Expert Safety Group (RESG) – Second Meeting (EASPG RESG/02)

The EASPG Regional Expert Safety Group (RESG) – Second Meeting (EASPG RESG/02), combined with National Aviation Safety Plan (NASP) development workshop, was held in hybrid mode from 21-23 September 2021.


The NASP development workshop (21 September 2021), covered the following topics:

  • ICAO's Global Safety Strategy - Global Aviation Safety Plan (GASP), including Aviation safety planning, definition of GASP, Roles in GASP, Challenges & priorities, 2020-2022 edition of GASP and Global Aviation Safety Roadmap;
  • European Regional Aviation Safety Plan (EUR RASP) overview, its implementation through NASP and Relationship with the European Plan for Aviation Safety (EPAS); and
  • National roles and responsibilities, Benefits and content of NASP, its relationships with the State safety programme (SSP) and other State Plans, ICAO guidance material, as well as NASP development process.

 

The EASPG RESG/02 plenary discussions (22 and 23 September 2021) covered, inter alia, outcome of the EUR RASP2021 Project team that included Developing EUR RASP third edition: Main changes and outcome of the consultation, updated proposal for EUR RASP Monitoring; Advanced proposal to update EUR Safety Performance Indicators (EUR SPIs); reports from the Pilot Training and Runway safety  Project teams, as well as Review of EASPG Safety Advisory 07 related to prevention of CFIT accidents.

In the framework of its review of available safety data and proposed safety enhancement initiatives  EASPG RESG/02 was presented with the EUR Safety Indicators Report for Year 2020.

 

The EASPG Regional Expert Safety Group (RESG) – Second Meeting (EASPG RESG/02) was attended by 62 participants from 19 States, industry and 9 International/Regional Organizations.
