A Civil Aviation Master Planning (CAMP) training course was held in Istanbul, Türkiye, from 22 to 26 May 2023.
ICAO EUR/NAT Office and ICAO Global Aviation Training (GAT) organized a training course on the Civil Aviation Master Planning (CAMP) that was held at the Turkish Civil Aviation Academy, in Istanbul, Türkiye, from 22 to 26 May 2023. Representatives from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Romania, Serbia, Tajikistan, Türkiye and Ukraine attended the training that was delivered under the auspices of the ICAO's CAMP course scholarship program, funded by the South-South Cooperation Assistance Fund of China.

Master planning of the aviation system is critical to ensure a State is ready to revitalize its aviation sector in the post-pandemic recovery. To support Member States in reaching the objectives of ICAO global plans, it is crucial to provide adequate management and technical training to senior and middle managers of civil aviation who manage or support the implementation of SARPs. The discussions focused on the preparation, development, implementation, and update a CAMP, in accordance with the relevant ICAO provisions.
